Just Add Ink #51

I think my many shades of red may have been a bit of a liberal approach to the 'Just Add Monochrome' challenge this week but I thought I'd enter my layout anyway just to share the love... (Click on pic for larger image.)

This layout celebrates being pregnant with our beautiful number two. In case you're wondering, I was inspired by a tree that always makes me think of Spring and new life: the Sakura/Cherry Blossom tree. In fact, we were originally thinking of naming her Sakura but decided a Japanese first name and Chinese last name might be a bit much. Haha. Enjoy.

Blushing Congrats

My beautiful sister got married to her wonderful man yesterday in Tanzania. Unfortunately I couldn't go (just not practical with a newborn and a toddler) but of course I am SO thrilled for her. Here's the card I sent over attached to a special sisterly gift...

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Friends Never Fade (embossed flowers), Baroque Motifs, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Colours: Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Others: Basic Pearls, Chocolate Chip Taffeta, In Colour DSP Pack (level 1 Hostess reward)

Just Add Ink #50 - A colour Challenge

It has been a busy week here sleep training the baby and toilet training the toddler (his initiative - I was happy to wait). So can you tell I'm really enjoying my time for myself by getting into the JAI challenges? This week it's a colour challenge and here's my entry...

I've had the Designer Buttons Tutorial in the back of my mind for ages and have finally done it! I love the way the colours from the challenge work together here to make the layout young and fun.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Schoolbook Serif Alphabet
Colours: Pear Pizazz, Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Others: So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon, Linen Thread
